What Is Embroidery Digitizing?
Embroidery digitizing converts images, logos, or artwork into stitch files that machines can execute. Unlike printing, machines follow precise instructions for stitch placement, type (satin, fill, running), thread colors, and operation sequence. Poor digitizing causes thread breaks, puckering, and misalignment. Professional digitizing ensures clean stitching whether you produce one piece or 10,000 units.
All files are manually digitized — never auto-traced.

Types of Embroidery Digitizing We Specialize In
Logo Embroidery Digitizing
We convert logos of any complexity into clean, stitch-perfect files — including small text, fine lines, and gradient-to-solid color conversions.
Hat & Cap Embroidery Digitizing
Cap digitizing requires special handling due to the curved surface and small stitching area. We optimize stitch direction and density specifically for caps to prevent fabric distortion.
Patch Embroidery Digitizing
We digitize patches with clean border stitching (merrow e-stitch or satin border), fill optimization, and proper underlay for stand-alone patch production.
3D Puff Embroidery Digitizing
3D puff requires foam underlayment and modified satin stitching. We account for puff thickness, angle, and fabric type to deliver raised embroidery that stays crisp.
Appliqué Digitizing
We create multi-step appliqué files with tack-down placement stitches, a fabric trim stop, and cover stitching — structured for single or multi-head machines.
Text & Monogram Digitizing
Custom lettering, monograms, and fonts — even at very small sizes (down to 4mm letter height) — are manually digitized with the correct stitch path and density for legibility.

Why Choose Embroidize?
100% Human Digitizing
Every file is created by a real expert, not software. Auto-digitizing produces files that cause thread breaks, puckering, and poor stitch quality. Manual digitizing delivers dramatically better results.
1–24 Hour Turnaround
Most standard designs are delivered within a few hours. Rush orders are welcome for urgent projects.
Trusted by 1,000+ Businesses
From small embroidery shops to promotional product companies, uniform suppliers, and fashion brands worldwide.
Unlimited Free Revisions
We don’t mark a job complete until the file performs perfectly on your machine. Revisions are always free.
Optimized for Your Machine & Fabric
Tell us your machine and your fabric. We optimize stitch angle, density, and underlay specifically for that combination.
Your Designs Stay Private
Your artwork is never shared, resold, or used for any other purpose. Complete confidentiality, always.

Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats do you deliver?+
We deliver in any format your machine requires — DST, PES, JEF, VP3, HUS, EMB, EXP, XXX, and more. Just tell us your machine brand and we’ll provide the right format. Need multiple formats for the same design? We offer additional formats at a small extra charge.
How long does embroidery digitizing take?+
Most standard designs are delivered within 1–24 hours. Simple logos and text often come back within 1–4 hours. Complex crests, detailed patches, or designs with many color changes may take up to 24 hours. Rush delivery is available if you need it faster.
How much does embroidery digitizing cost?+
Pricing starts at $5 for simple designs. Simple logos and text are $5–$10. Medium complexity is $10–$20. Complex crests, patches, 3D puff, and appliqué start at $20. Revisions are always free.
What image formats can I send you?+
We accept JPG, PNG, PDF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS, CDR (CorelDRAW), SVG, and PSD. We can also work from a clear photo of a physical design.
Do you use auto-digitizing software?+
No. Every design is digitized manually by a trained human digitizer. Auto-digitizing tools produce files that cause thread breaks, puckering, and poor small-text legibility. Manual digitizing delivers far better results on the machine.
What if I need revisions?+
Revisions are free and unlimited. If the file needs resizing, color adjustments, density changes, or any other tweak — just ask. We revise until the file is exactly right.
Can you digitize designs for caps and hats?+
Yes. Hat and cap embroidery requires specialized digitizing because of the curved surface and compressed stitch area. We optimize specifically for cap frames to prevent distortion on the finished garment.
Do you offer 3D puff embroidery digitizing?+
Yes. 3D puff requires specific satin stitch angles and foam compensation. Our digitizers are experienced with puff work for caps, bags, and apparel.
Can you match specific Pantone or thread colors?+
Yes. Provide your thread brand and color codes — Madeira, Isacord, Robison-Anton, etc. — and we’ll assign the correct color numbers in your file.
Is my design kept confidential?+
Yes. Your artwork and files are kept strictly private and are never shared, resold, or used for any other purpose.
Can you re-digitize an existing embroidery file?+
Yes. If you have an old file that runs poorly — causing thread breaks, puckering, or loss of detail — we can re-digitize from your original artwork and produce a clean replacement file.
What is the minimum text size you can digitize?+
We can digitize text down to approximately 4mm letter height depending on the font style. Below that threshold, most machine stitching loses legibility regardless of digitizing quality.
